Goodbye Old House/Friend
Sure, it didn't have air conditioning, and there were times when I sincerely believed the place was conspiring against us, but I will miss the old house. We bid her farewell eight days ago, and I am still amazed at this new place and all its refinements. But every morning when I wake up, I'm momentarily stunned to be in the same bed, with the same wonderful family, but no more surrounded by the rattling, snapping, creaking structure of our old house.
Once we get some more boxes unpacked, we'll post pictures of the new place in all its glory.
In the meantime, here's a peek at the playroom. Taking all the toys out of storage was like Christmas (actually, like the last three Christmases) in August.
